Multi-Mounted X-Ray Computed Tomography
Most existing X-ray computed tomography (CT) techniques work in single-mounted mode and need to scan the inspected objects one by one. It is time-consuming and not acceptable for the inspection in a large scale. In this paper, we report a multi-mounted CT method and its first engineering implementation. It consists of a multi-mounted scanning geometry and the corresponding algebraic iterative r...
متن کاملHigh Power X-ray Generator for Xafs Experiments
X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) provides information on the atomic-scale structure around a specific atom, and has become an essential analytical tool in materials, biology and many other sciences [1, 2]. The availability of a synchrotron source has facilitated the application of XAFS, because a strong smooth spectral distribution is important for the measurements, and synchrotron radiat...
متن کاملA High Gain Bipolar Pulse Generator with Low Voltage Input Source
This paper proposes a pulsed power generator which consists of two types of switched-capacitor booster modules. A doubling mode module employed to elevate the input voltage to a specified level and, constant mode module is used to increase the elevated voltage into the finally intended bipolar output voltage. Also, the proposed modular structure does not utilize any switches across the load. Ot...
متن کاملX-ray absorption spectral analysis with a 9 V battery X-ray generator.
X-ray absorption spectral (XAS) analysis is performed with a combination of a 9 V dry electric battery X-ray generator and a portable Si PIN X-ray detector. The calcium K edge (4.0 keV) in paper is measured with a grazing incidence geometry, which suppressed the artifact due to the Kalpha X-ray fluorescence peak at 3.5 keV. The 9 V dry battery X-ray emitter is useful for portable XAS measurements.
متن کاملIdentification of glass and ceramics by X-ray fluorescence analysis with a pyroelectric X-ray generator.
Applications of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis with a pyroelectric X-ray generator are presented. Glass and ceramics were analyzed with this novel X-ray generator to examine its capability for analyzing nonmetallic inorganic material. Although the power of X-ray output was a few orders of magnitude lower than conventional X-ray tubes, many elements such as Si, K, Ca, Ti, Cr, Fe, Zn, Sr, Ba, ...
